Playfair Mining Ltd. is pleased to announce that Greg Davison, PGeo, has been appointed as a director effective immediately.
Greg Davison is a professional consulting exploration geologist, technical advisor, project generator and manager, and ore mineralogist (exploration, process and geometallurgy) currently licensed in British Columbia (EGBC). He has forty-two years of practical field, laboratory and management experience in diverse geological settings and serves on the board of directors of Silver Spruce Resources Inc.
Recently, Mr. Davison worked for Teck Metals Ltd. at their Trail BC Applied Research and Technology Group (ART). In that role, he worked on VMS Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag-Au, porphyry Cu and Cu-Mo, rift intrusion Ni-Cu-PGE (Mesaba) and stratabound Pb-Zn deposits in North and South America. He provided geological input and mineralogy (ore microscopy and petrography, quantitative process mineralogy using MLA and QEMSCAN data, powder and clay XRD, etc.) for metallurgical optimization at operating mines, smelter operations (custom concentrate KIVCET feeds - USA, Mexico, Australia) and advanced exploration projects.
Mr Davison conducted and managed mineralogy and diamond exploration testing projects for 13 years, including nine years in one the world’s largest commercial process metallurgy test facilities in Lakefield, Canada and worked on numerous Cu and Ni projects including Raglan Ni-Cu and Windy Craggy Cu-Co.
Mr. Davison has acted as a Qualified Person for Playfair Mining’s technical releases and visited the RKV property, south of Trondheim, Norway during 2019.
The Company also announces the resignation of Steven Chan as a director effective immediately. The Company thanks Mr. Chan for his service and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
